Hello!
We'd like to introduce you to the wonderful team members who you will see on a daily basis at Growing Learners. Our goal is to not only take excellent care of your children but to also foster a love of learning and discovery from early on.
Alyssa Harvey
Owner & Director

Hello, my name is Alyssa and I’m the Owner/Director here at Growing Learners. I’ve been in the Early Education field for over 10 years. During this time, I’ve held many titles starting from the bottom where I filled in for other teachers as needed, up to having my own classroom and then creating my very own center. Along the way I have worked with and loved every age group. Behind the scenes I am raising a nature loving family. Together we enjoy being on the water, traveling, and anything outdoors. I am a collector and love sharing the different things I find in nature with the children who attend Growing Learners. Early childhood has allowed me to build lifelong connections with so many families and I am thankful to be a part of each of your journeys.

"My name is Lilly I’ve been working in Early Education since 2012. I have a CDA and I’m currently attending SMCC for my Early Education degree. Working with young children has always been a passion of mine. I love being apart of children reaching milestones and developing new skills. Creating strong trusting relationships with parents is very important to me because it reassures parents that their child is in a safe, loving and healthy environment.
In my spare time I enjoy being outside and being active. Some of my favorite activities are rock climbing, and playing tennis. I will try anything at least once!"
Alyx Carbone

"My name is Alyx and I have been working in the Early Childhood Education field since 2013. I am currently obtaining my CDA in August 2018 through Opportunity Alliance. I absolutely love working with children and contributing to their development through art and music. Watching and helping a child achieve developmental milestones and sharing that experience with the child's family is a great honor. Being able to be a part of it gives me so much joy!
In my spare time, I enjoy painting and drawing, attending yoga/ dance classes, and spending Sunday nights with my family."
Linsey Ramsey
Infant Teacher
"Hi I'm Linsey and ever since I was little I knew I wanted
to work with children.
When I was a freshman in High School I started my babysitting journey. I worked for the same family all through out high school, as well as other families. After graduation I continued to babysit for family and friends as I was working. I enjoy being around children because not only can you see the world differently through their eyes, but they also teach us lessons every day as well. Every child is so different and it is always exciting to not just watch them meet their milestones, but also to help them along the way.
In my spare time I love traveling, exploring and spending time with my husband, my two kids and dog."
Morgan Dacey
Two's Teacher
"Hi my name is Morgan and I live in Saco with my four year old daughter, Ava. I have always had a passion for teaching, watching children explore, and helping young minds grow. I have worked in a variety of childcare settings with children between 6 weeks and 5 years of age. I love art, music and movement and I love the opportunity to bring my creativity and passion to Growing Learners every day.
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, spending time at the beach, watching football, and going on fun adventures with my daughter."
Jamie Welch
Waddler Teacher
Hi, I have been caring for children since I was 10 years old to help my mom teach in Sunday school. I have always enjoyed leading, helping children to grow and walking with them through life. I have been on four missions’ trips, three of which were to Nicaragua where I stayed at an orphanage. This is where my passion for children really flourished as I experienced working with children who spoke no English, but we still found ways to teach and grow together. It is very important to me that each child has a unique relationship with me because every child has different needs and their own special ways to communicate. In my free time I love to travel, be with family, and play music.
Tatum Voross

I love watching children grow and develop. I have worked with many age groups, but my favorite has to be the infants. Every first is an exciting adventure with this group.

Olivia Hamilton
K-PrepTeacher
My name is Olivia Hamilton, I have been working in the education field since 2013. I went to the University of Maine and graduated in 2016 with an Elementary Education degree. Throughout college I was lucky enough to experience many different teaching opportunities, in a wide range of grade levels. In the end, I decided to take everything I had learned and go into the early childhood education field. When asked as a child what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was a preschool teacher. I love having conversations with the children and seeing the world from their point of view. My favorite part of the day is watching a child grasp a concept they have been trying so hard to learn. The excitement in their eyes is why I love this job. In my spare time I enjoy skiing/snowmobiling, hiking, being near the ocean, and spending time with my friends and family.
Eve Madan
K-Prep

"My name is Eve Madan, and I’ve had the joy of working in early childhood education as a preschool teacher for the past year. Before I became a preschool teacher, I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychological Science, with a concentration in Childhood Development, at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. After being raised in a home by two teachers, I have always wanted to work with children, and felt that I wanted to make a difference in their lives. I enjoy guiding children through their day as they discover new passions, and what the world has to offer, while overcoming challenges. Nothing makes me happier than to see children and their families, happy to come to school every day, and to see the children excited to learn and explore the world.
In my spare time I love cooking, spending time with my boyfriend and my dog, going outside, exploring Maine, and traveling."

During my time at Hampshire, I also worked at the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, where I had the opportunity to work with guests of all different ages and backgrounds in the art studio! I love working with children, specifically through art, and seeing how they grow and change each day. In the future, I hope to be a published picture book illustrator. In my spare time, I like to cook, paint and be outside.
Monica Stewart
Toddler Teacher

My name is Monica Stewart and working with children has always been a passion of mine. Since 2015, I have had some role working with children whether its been babysitting, volunteer work, or being a teacher at a childcare center. I received my undergrad degree at the University of New England in both English and Psychology. My favorite part of working with children is watching their creativity and imagination grow and expand throughout the stages of their development. Each child had their own personality and I love seeing how that plays into the classroom dynamics and in the various projects done during the day.
In my spare time I enjoy reading and writing, attending Zumba classes, and exploring the state of Maine. Traveling is big on my bucket list and I would love to go anywhere around the world!
